Exceptional Orthopaedic Care

…I’ve been doing exceptionally well, one-year post-op… lateral knee replacement. I spent the winter skate skiing, fat biking, and started backcountry skiing again in January. I just did a 2-week backpacking trip in the Arctic refuge in early June and my friends could barely keep up w/ me. I’m back to mountain biking and of course hiking. My rehab was relatively pain-free. Yes, I’ve worked really hard to get where I am, but pain was a rarity for me… I just really wanted to thank you for such a successful outcome. I’m thrilled to have my knee and my life back… Thanks again for taking such good care of me.

Outstanding physician. We feel very fortunate to have found him. Dr, Brandes took the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment plan and didn’t push for surgery. We never felt rushed, and he even called my husband back while he was traveling overseas when he had questions about the foot injury.

Dr. Lohse not only did an excellent job on my Carpel Tunnel Surgery on both of my hands but I was very impressed by his professional manner during the surgery… In addition his consultations both before and after the surgery were very informative and helpful. In addition, he showed that he really cares about his patients by the way he talks to you. I would not hesitate to use him again if I need his services.

I have seen Dr. Castle several times… He strikes a nice balance of professionalism and friendliness, and is energetic, intuitive, and highly competent. The work he has done to repair some joint damage, and the follow-up/education he has provided has decidedly improved the quality of my life. I have recommended him to people I care greatly about, without reservation.

Dr. Brandes is exactly what I needed in a doctor. A thorough exam and review of all the treatment alternatives. His opinion and advice were extremely accurate and the treatment worked completely.

Excellent doctor. Staff was great also. Start to finish, top notch all the way. I would highly recommend Dr Robon and his staff. They have a well-run office top to bottom.

He spent more time with me at my appointment than any doctor ever has. He made me feel like I was getting advice from a friend, not a doctor.

Dr. Castle is an amazing surgeon and the only surgeon I would trust my knees to. He is very personal and professional and gives you quality time and answers. He is good at explaining everything clearly and is knowledgeable and up to date. Two big thumbs up for Dr. Castle!

Dr. Robon provided excellent care, answered all my questions completely and in reality, made me feel like I was his only patient. That type of care is unique and I feel fortunate to have seen him. Plus, my broken finger works well again!

I had a great experience with Dr. Castle and his team at Proliance Orthopaedics with my recent ACL reconstruction surgery. The CPM machine he recommended was very helpful with the recovery process. The highland surgery facilities and team were very efficient and clean. Overall great experience with Dr. Castle and his team at Proliance. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I had a superb outcome with an osteotomy and spur removal with Dr Chi. I had some oddities likely from old injuries and needed a bunionette and a bone spur addressed. I had already done all the non-surgical interventions, and he listened closely to my history and didn’t push me toward surgery, but was very responsive and proactive once we made the decision to surgically repair. Both pre-op and post-op support has been great and I can’t say enough good things about his surgical support at the Proliance Issaquah Highlands surgery center; they were all very professional and compassionate. I normally take a long time to heal and can scar easily but after 10 weeks, the pain is minimal and incisions are looking great. Dr Chi and his office provided lots of information on how to best prepare and then recover, even advice about disabled parking permits for post-surgery. While a skilled surgeon is the most important thing, he takes time with patients and explains each step of the process. I could not be happier with my results.

“Unbelievable” is the first word that comes to mind. I was blown away by Dr. Wahl and his team. On absolutely every level of this experience, the service and care were top-notch.

If I could give ten stars I would. I went to at least 5 surgeons/specialists before I choose Dr. Boone to do my hip replacement. Dr. Boone really listened to me and my concerns and answered all of my questions. The whole process from beginning to end he displayed excellence. My surgery went extremely well and follow up from him and his team was way above average. If you are looking for someone that values you as a human being not only a patient..a number then he’s the Surgeon you want!

Dr. Wahl was, by far, the most comprehensive and caring orthopedic surgeon I have EVER had. My surgery was incredibly complex and the fact that Dr. Wahl took the time to explain every image and what his thoughts/plans were gave me great confidence in him. I honestly have never felt so cared for, assured by the slow pace at which he made the surgical plan and his bedside manner by him and Suzanne.

Dr. Wahl was a competent and professional doctor that took a genuine interest in me and my concerns. I felt cared for and important. A course of action was quickly determined and proceeded to a successful outcome. I really appreciate the amount of information given as well as the willingness to address ALL of my concerns.

I highly recommend Dr. Sailer for any joint work. He fixed my left shoulder to full function when another doctor said surgery would not work. Dr. Sailer later replaced my left knee a few years ago and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t jog anymore but at 74 I still go out for 5-mile walks, do stairs and walk the golf course. He is the best!

Dr. Patel has operated on my wife and several of my friends. He is an outstanding surgeon, who makes the correct diagnosis, operated only when there is a high probability of success, is compassionate and explains everything well. I highly recommend him!

I was lucky! I hope you can have the best too. I shattered my right knee (tibial plateau fracture schatzker level 6) and was lucky! Dr. Silas Marshall was the on-call orthopedic specialist, the best in the area. Dr. Marshall is not only a gifted/skilled perfectionist, he listens intently and answers every question.

Dr. Lohse came to my rescue and diagnosed my difficulty when the original surgeon wouldn’t even consider that any thing was wrong with his work. My hero will get full recommendation to other family members who need treatment, and they do.

Dr. Scott is fantastic! I had injured my knee while running and was unable to walk when I first visited him. Dr. Scott quickly got me in for an MRI, and was able to make a diagnosis and recommendations for treatment within days of my injury. He helped me weigh my options for treatment and I decided on surgery. Dr. Scott took a lot of time to explain the surgery and healing process with me, and answered all my questions. My surgery with Dr. Scott was successful and 7 weeks later I’m back to running with zero pain. If I ever need help like this again (which I hope I don’t) I will most definitely be going back to Dr. Scott. I highly recommend him, he’s patient, knowledgeable, extremely capable, and has an incredible bedside manner.

Dr. Wahl is everything a doctor should be. I’d give him 10s all around. His person-to-person skills are as good as it gets, and I trust him implicitly. He is very smart, super complete, communicates with warmth, listens well, and very importantly, is age-blind, so I never felt he was condescending or pre-judging. He’s absolutely wonderful.

Dr Hulst is an excellent doctor. He cleaned up my knee (2 meniscus tears and a bone spur.) I have had a great recovery. I appreciated the time he took to explain my diagnosis and treatment options in detail. He made sure I understood all my options and risks for treatment. He will not needlessly perform surgery if there are other treatments and he will give an honest assessment of the probable outcome if he does suggest surgery. I highly recommend Jonah Hulst.

I had to have 2 shoulder surgeries. Dr. Komenda and his staff did an excellent job making me comfortable and calm. He did a fantastic job. My shoulders healed fast and I have very small scars that are almost invisible.

Thank you Dr. Komenda for your professional approach and fantastic performance in the 3 procedures you completed. Rotater cuff as well as carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel release all three were virtually pain free, I believe this is a credit to your expertise as a surgeon. I have recommended Dr. Komenda to several people, you and your staff receive a 10 out of 10.

Dr Brandes was very attentive to my concerns, explaining my medical condition and treatment options. Things that stood out were professionalism, attention to detail and communication and accommodating my schedule. I was able to get any of my concerns taken care of promptly and found his staff a great asset to the care he provided. I would definitely refer my family and friends to him.”

Dr. Patel was cordial, patient, and provided excellent care. My back surgery was complex, taking 10 hours, and he ensured I received quality care in the hospital as well as regular, supportive follow up care.

Dr. Jonah B. Hulst is one of the BEST doctors in my practice. He’s very knowledgeable, professional, caring, honest and he will spend all the time with you until he will find the solution to your problem. I recommend him!!!

Dr. Lohse is very kind, gentle, patient and thoughtful. He ensures that I get enough time and has been very reassuring throughout my complex care. He is a talented surgeon who did an outstanding job with three hand surgeries simultaneously. Dr. Lohse is a contemplative man with the best bedside manner of any physician I have ever had. I could not recommend him any higher. You are in great hands with Dr. Lohse.

When I met Dr. Patel I had hopes that he could help me relieve the intense back pain and sciatica that I had been suffering from for a couple of years. I left his office with confidence that he could do the job. He performed an L4-L5 laminectomy, and removed stenosis and a cyst from that area. I’m delighted that the sciatica and back pain are completely gone, and I can stand up straight for the first time in 27 years. My experience with Dr. Patel could not have been better.

If you ever need orthopedic surgery, I highly recommend Dr Scott.. I feel my recovery was remarkable because of the excellence and follow up in skills of Dr Scott. Personable and professional.

Everyone from Dr. Mickelson to the therapists was amazing, professional friendly people with smiling faces make a big difference when you’re having a tough time with the therapy. I’ve already recommended my wife. I want to say thank you to everybody, you made a difference in my life.

Dr. Thomas Chi is a very bright, competent and personable surgeon and I feel very lucky to have found him to repair my foot. He spends the time needed to thoroughly explain things and to answer questions. It would be awesome if all health care providers took care of their patients the way Dr. Chi does!

I found Dr. Boone very knowledgeable, confident, positive and encouraging when diagnosing my hip reconstruction. I had a previous hip replacement by another Dr. and a fracture was discovered. This lead to leg length issues and the foot turning out. I can not recommend DR Boone high enough. If I could give more stars I would. I am now looking forward to getting back to my normal active lifestyle.

Dr. Hulst has replaced both of my hips. One in 2015 and the other in 2016. I was impressed with his professionalism and obvious care for the well being of his patients… I live in another state but traveled to Washington twice for him to do my surgery. I was treated with great respect all the way and he really listens to what I am saying and asking. I completely and unreservedly recommend Dr. Hulst for any joint replacement.

I had fractured my wrist and it wasn’t healing for months. I decided to see another doctor and found Dr. Schick. He had me get 3d scan and decided to perform surgery on the wrist. It was holiday time but he managed to find time for me. Dr. Schick did a great job with the surgery… I’d recommend Dr. Schick to all my friends and family.

I found Dr. Nathe to be professional and personable. He perform surgery on my right knee, extracting a bone spur that had broken loose. He explained everything in a manner which I could understand and welcomed questions. I never felt as though I was being rushed through my appointments. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely refer my friends and family to him in the future! Thank you Dr. Nathe!!

I would highly recommend Dr. Bruckner and his team to everyone. He did a wonderful job with both of my surgeries. He’s very thorough with the explanation of the procedure and what to expect post op. His bedside manor is great and he’s very personable. Great surgeon!

I see Dr. Boone and he is amazing the BEST actually… I had a complete hip replacement and I’m so happy I can walk and my hip feels great… I’m going in for a full knee in November and I know Dr. Boone will do great I have 100+% trust and confidence in Dr. Boone. He’s always kind and knows what he’s talking about… the staff there are always very pleasant…

Awesome Surgeon. I had a botched surgery on my Achilles’ tendon by a podiatrist. Dr. Chi had a mess to start with, but even given that, I’ve had good results. Dr. Chi is intelligent and personable, and as my regular doc said, “the best foot and ankle surgeon in the state”.

Beautifully done surgery. Very grateful. Dr. Marhsall and staff at Proliance are very professional and caring.

Does not get any better than this. So often the doc is great but the staff isn’t… but Dr. Komenda and his assistant, Erin were amaizng. Very friendly, easy to understand, helpful, patient, caring, professional, knowledgable, and so very nice! We highly recommend him and his team… I’m a picky patient so it gives me great pleasure to share this review about Dr. Komenda.

Before saying that Dr. Dayne Mickelson an extraordinary doctor, I want to tell that he is an extraordinary human being, person, and friend. Very few doctors have the magic of love, caring and compassionate soul behind the surgeon’s hands like Dr. Mickelson, to replace the fear of illness and pain with peace, trust and confidence. The nightmare of my illness was almost a year long, visit’s to other doctors and slowly became a dream of recovery only after my visit to Dr. Mickelson. He’s really care about his patients. A terrific surgeon and very friendly as well. He did 5 different surgeries in my right knee and I am walking just fine and getting stronger. I have to thank this man for blessing me with the ability to walk again.

Dr. Tyler Nathe performed my extensive rotator cuff shoulder. As my provider, he came across very professionally and confidently assuring me that he would do his best to repair my injuries and explaining the procedure in detail.. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Nathe. I trust and respect this doctor and I will be returning to him in the future if necessary without any doubts.

He gives options with a smile. One year I tore my bicep tendon off. Had me under the scapel the next day and his anesthesiologist had me wake up like clock work as if I had the best nap ever.
