Post-Operative Care

Our physical therapy clinics work in direct coordination with POSM’s orthopaedic surgeons — one of the most integrated care models on the Eastside.

How soon after surgery can I begin physical therapy?

Post-surgical PT typically begins one day to three weeks after your procedure, depending on the surgery. We recommend scheduling your first physical therapy appointment before surgery whenever possible to reduce delay in starting your recovery. Ask your physician about the right timeline for your specific procedure.

Orthopaedics

Our therapists are trained to treat the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions, including injuries to the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, foot and ankle, hand, and spine.

What can I expect from orthopaedic physical therapy?

We combine hands-on clinical expertise with patient education – because patients who understand their injury and the rehabilitation process consistently achieve better outcomes. Our goal is to move you from pain and limitation back to full function.

Sports

We treat athletes at every level, from recreational weekend competitors to high-performance sports professionals.

What kind of sports therapy does Proliance Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation provide?

Our sports rehabilitation approach goes beyond injury recovery: we incorporate sport-specific functional training and performance enhancement into your plan from day one. Your therapist will develop a rehabilitation program based on your injury, your sport’s physical demands, and your target return-to-play goals.

Gait Evaluations / Orthotics

Our therapists specialize in gait analysis and lower extremity biomechanics, including video gait analysis and custom foot orthotics.
How does a gait evaluation work?

Using our video gait lab, we digitally record patients walking and running to identify movement inefficiencies, muscle imbalances, and flexibility limitations. When indicated, we provide custom foot orthotics. Our staff brings over 15 years of orthotic fabrication experience and a particular focus on treating runners and walkers with mechanical pain syndromes.
