Shoulder Injuries and Conditions
Proliance Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine has board certified physicians with vast experience in diagnosing and treating injuries and conditions related to the shoulder. What most people call the shoulder is really several joints that combine with soft tissues like tendons and muscles to allow a wide range of motion to the arm. Shoulder pain and injuries are often related to problems with these muscles and tendons, as well as with the joint and bone. Our expertise and state-of-the-art imaging facilities, including x-ray and MRI, allow our providers to quickly and accurately diagnose conditions involving these types of structures. If surgery is required, the vast majority of these conditions can be treated with minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques that are less painful and allow for a quicker recovery. Most of the procedures are also conducted in an ambulatory surgery setting that allows our patients to avoid the expense and inconvenience of a hospital stay.
Our providers treat a wide range of orthopaedic conditions involving the shoulder including:
- Tendonitis/bursitis
- Adhesive Capsulitis/ Frozen Shoulder
- Correction of arthritis and its deformities
